Open Bar
THE CASE

For a course in university, we were asked to design and prototype the level of a game. It was up to us the genre, target audience, and target hardware of the game, but we needed to explain out choices. This was an individual project.
THE SOLUTION
A mobile, simulation game for international students that live in Groningen; ages 18 to 27. The goal of the game is to entertain the players while introducing them to the night live of Groningen.
THE RESULT
A game in which the player is a bar tender with the dream of opening their own bar. The play mode is single player in story mode, each level taking place in a different bar of Groningen. The time to clear each level is very low, making it a casual game, perfect for busy students.
RESPONSIBILITIES

As the only designer in this project, I was responsible for the design of the game, which includes making a whole design document. I was also responsible for the prototype, which meant I needed to make some simple art assets to portray the game aesthetic and feel, as well and program a working level.
